Organic Tea DIY Tips

March 31, 2015 Felicia Blendermann

Yes, Tea is an amazing beverage full of amazing goodies, but did you know that tea can also be USED to:

GET RID OF ODORS:

If you detest cheap air-fresheners as much as I do, then try using tea leaves to absorb rancid odors instead of masking them.  Place a few darjeeling or black cinnamon leaves in a tea bag and stash them in your closet, car or bathroom.

KEEPS PLANTS HEALTHY:

Did you know that tea contains nitrogen and other good elements? Bury some wet used leaves below the surface of the plant and watch your plant grow beautifully!  The nutrients from the tea remains transfers to the soil.

REDUCE REDNESS:

Fill a spritzer bottle with cold green tea and lightly spray it on clean skin, allow to air-dry and your done! The anti-oxidants in the tea relieves red itchy skin.

COOKWARE CLEANER:

Fill your greasy pots with hot water and 1 teaspoon of black tea.  Tea's tannic acid lifts grease making scrubbing a breeze.

INSECT REPELLENT:

Dried green tea leaves are good at repelling mosquitos.  Place some inside a fireproof containder, light it up and set it outside.
